About

Hey, welcome to my blog! I'm Finny; how are you? Read around; i'm sure there's something you can relate to.. or teach me. p.s my Jesus rocks =) and so do my awesomely amazing friends.

i hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean//

Busy, busy, busy week. unbelievably busy. Did i mention it was busy? tests all, exams coming, studying and everything Pwoa. Apparently they say this is one of the busiest times in your life.

I wouldn't argue.

There's so much going on this week bleh....guess i just have to keep working at it.
God bless all year 11/12s. and 1st year uni students.

Well, what's going on, i was singing to myself recently (if you can call it singing) and that song came to me, the one that the choir sang. "My heavenly Father watches over me"

You know, every single time i sing that song to myself, i recall the trip that we took to Rottnest. EVERYTIME I SING IT! And it's not a bad thing, no! not at all. I actually really like it. The lyrics,

"On mountain bleak, or on the stormy sea"

When that part comes along, i can almost hear the waves lapping against the shore, or crashing against the rocks, and you know it surprises me. I always thought that i liked the sunny, beautiful clear cloudless blue-sky weather. But, somehow when we went to Rottnest, ok, to be fair, it had its sunshine. But when we reached the summit, the weather was a bit overcast, and clouds spanned into the distance. Yet somehow i liked it, alot. It just suited the atmosphere, and seemed so...tranquil?

Is that the word i'm looking for.... i believe it is. It made the ocean look so much greater, much more powerful, expansive, yet also more destructive and forceful. Without the stereotypical clear skies and birds chirping in the air, i could think much more about different things.

Like how small we are, when compared to the ocean. You wouldn't think of it normally but, on that day, the weather, i think God purposely put us in that position, just to show us...you know, He's in charge.

Even in the picture, the focus really isn't on us is it? It's more on the surrounding environment. or the ocean, if you will. As opposed to happy shots, such as :

where you can focus more on the people, and it's a nice-ish shot, if i weren't in it XD.

But you get my drift dont you? It's true. Maybe i shouldn't start swearing when i walk outta my house and find a cloud-cover. Then again, i guess i only really feel that massive impact when i'm surrounded by ocean. Closest thing to that is the pond in my house. Oh well......

at any rate,

I hope you still feel small, when you stand beside the ocean...

Fin~
