About

Hey, welcome to my blog! I'm Finny; how are you? Read around; i'm sure there's something you can relate to.. or teach me. p.s my Jesus rocks =) and so do my awesomely amazing friends.

what's your struggle? Sunday, April 27, 2008 |

i was thinking about this today when posed the question during bible study.

What is your struggle?

Everybody, whether Christian or not has some form of struggle in their life. So what's yours? Are you a procrastinator? Plain lazy? I can recall Sharon saying that this was a 'good' struggle to have.

But that can't work can it? Because if it's your struggle, it's your weakness. Which means that theoretically there is no 'good' struggle to have. Because while one person may say,

"Oh i'm such a procrastinator and it's screwing up my life. Yet it's extremely easy to be honest."

Another person may very well say,

"Procrastination is such an easy thing to avoid! But lying? now THATS hard to avoid."

Some people are hard-working, whilst others are not. Some people are honest, while others struggle to be so. Some people are greedy while others aren't. Some people are self-centered, while others aren't.

But if God gives us each as many struggles as we can handle (and assuming no more); then that's all we need to know; isn't it?

Looking through photos of youth. Even the most gorgeous and prettyful people have shots where they look retarded. Thanks for the laughs guys XD

make me smile Thursday, April 17, 2008 |

i was on the train today,

zoned-out; as most are on the 8:20 train to Perth.
Going at around 130kmph,...crossing mt Henry (is that thing tall enough to be classified a 'mount'??)

i see the beautiful river bathed in morning sunlight as the sun begins to creep over the blanket of clouds that drift peacefully over the glittering water. I see the water lapse at the shoreline, as if stroking the soft sand along the shore.

(no, i'm not that descriptive in the morning >.>)

I happened to see a young girl, no more than 6, in the backseat of a car. I wonder what she was doing up so early; she had a look of wonder on her face as the train passed their car.

By complete coincidence, she spotted me looking at their car. She waved at me; i smiled at her, and the last i saw of her was a smile beaming back at me - now trying to capture the attention of the other passengers aboard the train.

If only it were always so easy to make somebody smile.

today Thursday, April 10, 2008 |

bumping into friends is a trait that i seem to have.

Even when i try to find the most secluded, out of mind place to sit and ponder things (or do homework >.>) somebody manages to find me.

It's amazing usually who those people are, most of the time it will be a very close friend of mine; who usually knows where i go; but other times..it will be the most random of people.

Today i decided to leave a bit earlier, at a time where classes were still running so i didn't have to run into so many people - still took the main route to get out of uni but i didn't expect to run into anyone.

Damn you hartley -_-

(but it was good catching up with you dude ;p)
