make me smile
i was on the train today,
zoned-out; as most are on the 8:20 train to Perth.
Going at around 130kmph,...crossing mt Henry (is that thing tall enough to be classified a 'mount'??)
i see the beautiful river bathed in morning sunlight as the sun begins to creep over the blanket of clouds that drift peacefully over the glittering water. I see the water lapse at the shoreline, as if stroking the soft sand along the shore.
(no, i'm not that descriptive in the morning >.>)
I happened to see a young girl, no more than 6, in the backseat of a car. I wonder what she was doing up so early; she had a look of wonder on her face as the train passed their car.
By complete coincidence, she spotted me looking at their car. She waved at me; i smiled at her, and the last i saw of her was a smile beaming back at me - now trying to capture the attention of the other passengers aboard the train.
If only it were always so easy to make somebody smile.
