Exams and stuff have been haha....well i'lll tell you in a bit; finally found some time to blog. Hopefully after exams and when i'm liberated from this hellish reality; i'll get around to changing the blog layout and everything to something perhaps a bit newer haha. Alls good!
Yea exams hey hahaha; well i've done two so far and i have one tomorrow - so i'll give you a run down on how things are going.
The human bio prac wasn't easy; but it wasn't hard. The only reason it wasn't easy was because i picked the hardest paper...yeah (sorry cuz, i knew i should've picked lime green><><) but the guy behind me was being pushy and he would've been like err...why did you stop at the first paper? (we're meant to shuffle down to the last). So yellow was the last and lime green was in the middle T.T
Well i was doing this exam next to this dude who was really quite rude; It was a prac exam and so you have to shuffle around tables to get to the next question because there are different models and diagrams on each table. And when you get up; you get up as a group of three and move when the timer goes off. (the colours are so you cant cheat...)
So every time we'd get up; this dude would like go quickqucikqcukqcuik like a freaking duck, while the chick on his left was just like man give it a rest; and i'm like dude stop touching me. I mean, seriously, you cant start until the timer goes off anyway! So effectively we rush just to sit down and wait for 8 minutes. He was this nerdy skinny glasses-wearing asian dude so i naturally assumed he was like acing everything..
NA-UH
this guy was like infected by the dumb god; seriously; since we 'couldnt' cheat, i looked over on his paper to see how he was going with everything. The first thing i saw:
Identify and label structure x (which was clearly a chromosome.).
answer: Chrozomer.
WHAT THE HELL IS A CHROZOMER?? thinking that i was either really really tired, or the lack of sleep effect was starting to kick in, i read his next question. It was the hardest thing in the exam....trying not to laugh at his answer.
When an individual has two of the same alleles located at a loci; they are known as?: (the answer is homologous. i.e the same..duh)
answer: holomologous
.......holomologous?!!!?!?! 1111 I swear i'll eat my shoe or something if he's actually right but i looked ALL over the internet (yes i was that bored) and i swear, there is no such word as 'holomologous'. Serious! the balls on that one! if he spent as much time checking his work as he did pushing me around he might at least have realised many numerous things; such as the first stage of a cell mitotic division is PROPHASE and not METAPHASE. PRO = beginning, META = middle.
When i thought back about it the first thing that came to mind was this poor kid:
who clearly deserves every professional gamer's respect.
ok, so i shouldn't be laughing at somebody else's work; nor should i be criticizing him for his best efforts....but he was pushing me around. I seriously felt like turning around and as my grandpa would say "give him wannn tight slap". hmpf.
Oh well holomogo (as he is now known as) walked out of the exam hall smiling. And i.....walked out behind him laughing xD (i'm evil, i know. but what was i meant to do?? point out his mistakes?)
The Psych exam....woah dont ask hey. Bet he would've laughed at me if he saw that. Then again i guess everybody who walked out of the exam hall said they had a fairly tough time (well most of the people i know anyway - save michelle sin who gave me a very blatant ' i dont know'). Hnnn, essays were fine; really easy actually but..the multiple choice...ok, lets put it this way.
There were 100 multiple choice. ONE-HUNDRED.
Serious man it's psychology too, after 30 you cant tell the difference between E and B. imagine doing the next SEVENTY questions with your brain sort of floating a few centimeters above you.
Credit goes to the psychology department for asking this question:
"when walking down a street and staring at a house; the trees closest to you move:"
a)opposite
b)same
It was question 82, so after reading the question a few times i came to the conclusion that, of course, trees cant move.
So what do you do then!? Chao turtle. so i just circled opposite la ._.
Walked out of the exam feeling like a complete failure lol; then again, so did around 90% of the exam hall. the other 10%...yea the examiners.
Outside the hall most people were circling round the question "so howd you go with the multiple guess?" which i found absolutely hilarious for no apparent reason; think it finally got to me hey. pwoa, long papers like that really do take it out of you.
This post was originally meant to be about something long winded and sad haha; but i guess laughing at my incompetence in exams is alot better. I shall leave it there for now. Read this little comic my friend Val sent me; it made me smile haha.
