calm before the storm Saturday, May 31, 2008 |

I love the rain, and i love how it pours.

Today was something quite different as the rain and wind absolutely thundered past our house (pardon the pun). There were flashes of lightning every few seconds and even hail for a short period of time. As the storm grew, a couple (literally 2) pidgeons came to rest under our veranda, seeking shelter from the rain. They sat under the table i think. (Mimi seemed to have no quarrel with them)

Then almost as quick and suddenly as it had started, it subsided to little more than a drizzle, the sun seemed to shine brighter and the water that was flooding the areas around our garden was slowly absorbed by the soil; the puddles that were so large only a few minutes back shrank to little more than wet patches.

I was trying to study, however apparently i was too fascinated by it all - and didn't get much done. Was alone with Mimi at home, at first she seemed quite scared by the thunder and all but after a while it was evident that she was just upset she couldn't go outside to eat >.>

Funny though, i swear halfway through the storm, i could almost hear chariots - and swords amongst the flashes of lightning, and roars of thunder.

We fall down Friday, May 30, 2008 |

do you fall?

sometimes don't you wish that you didn't have to, in order to learn? Dont you wish that you could learn without a lesson. Do you wish that you could just identify and then take wisdom in as you observed it.

Or are you the type that wishes they could learn the point of every lesson on first attempt, and not have to undergo the pain of not having learnt the point in the first place.

Don't know?

neither do i.

But we do fall.

you've got it all. Tuesday, May 20, 2008 |

Has anybody ever told you,

"you've got everything. You've got all the friends that you'll ever need and enough people to care for you so that you'll never fall."

Funnily i've been told this many times, and yes; i know i do - i'm most thankful for my amazing friends, i really am. Over the past year or two, i've learnt how not to take them for granted, how they're so valuable to me.

To those who may wish like they had 10 best friends, all ready to catch you when you fall; do remember; friendship, is a two way thing.

What happens when those 10 whom you are so dear to, fall? What happens when they stumble and need somebody to pull them up again. Simple, you're there for them. Try all at once, and you'll soon find that being a friend is much more than just being.

It's about throwing your own feelings in the bin, and relying on nothing but God and the air He gives you to sustain not only you but all of your friends. It's about failing; for success. It's about lowering yourself to pick up. It's about crying to smile.

It's about dying, to live.

I really cant imagine how He felt.

Drop me a line//

To those who help me live my life. To those who help me write; to those whom i owe this

Thank you. and You. There's a saying that a person is as good as good as his friends are; i'd love to claim that - purely because it would mean i would instantaneously become one of the most amazing people this world could find haha. Well in that case, perhaps the saying isn't correct, but i know that in terms of quality friends? I have the best. To dedicate everything in this blog, every memory recalled, every picture repainted, every photograph shown again - to God; seems to be only logical. Since He provided me with them in the first place. I hope that whoever reads this may start to see God in whatever circumstance, good or bad. Because He's always there, and He always cares. May God always bless you and be with you wherever you go; because there's no way i could have made it to where i am without God, stay close to Him - and watch His blessings and care, mercy and kindness, love and joy chase you down the street. Thank you; thank You.
